WHAT IS AN INTERACTION DESIGNER?

​

As an interaction designer you identify the users’ key interactions with the product, create user-centered technologies, systems, and services, and develop an extraordinary product design. Simply said, you create an intelligent, intuitive, and inspiring interface for your customers.

Closely working together with the product manager and engineers in your team, you are the expert on how users behave and interact with the product. Thereby, you drive the product forward by constantly trying to understand the user’s interactions, by designing the best interface for them, by enabling them to fall in love with the product and by ensuring that their highest expectations are always fulfilled.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AT HAMBURG INNOVATION DOCK:

• Working the whole design process from analyzing business problems to designing supportive solutions

• Communicating relevant interaction designs to your agile team as well as to industry partners and potential customers

• Developing user stories, interactive prototypes, and visual designs in order to create intelligent, intuitive, and inspiring interfaces 

• Analyzing and validating user’s behavior and interactions to create a clean and functional product design 

• Strategizing and communicating opportunities, concepts, and design solutions to meet and exceed strategic objectives

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE HAMBURG INNOVATION DOCK:

 

• You are a master student or you recently graduated in interaction design, digital media, or a similar field

• You are passionate about digital trends, interactions designs, and you love to understand how users behave and think

• You know something about Sketch, Photosop, InVision, or Axure and can illustrate and prototype concepts in an agile and fast-paced working environment

• You are acquainted with UX/IxD

• You have a visually stunning first portfolio of your previous designs

• You have persuasive communication skills and you love to interact with your team members as well as with potential customers
